Helpful Information

If you have plans to use the marriage certificate as a legal document in your country, it is best to have it translated into your own language and notarized at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Germany Embassy.

Foreign nationals who are married to Thai nationals do not automatically acquire Thai citizenship. For foreigners married to Thais and living in Thailand, the foreigner needs to apply for a visa at Immigration and renew the visa every year. For more information about a Marriage Visa, click here.
